Why participate in our Early Introduction to Peanuts program?

Our early introduction program begins with a peanut allergy test. As a parent you may already know the risks of food allergies and how they can impact the life of your child. From day one of treatment you can put your worries to rest and learn whether or not your child has a peanut allergy.

Once we know that your child has not developed a peanut allergy we’ll access whether or not they are at high risk of developing a peanut allergy later. We’ll take measure to significantly reduce that possibility so that you’re little one can lead a happy allergy free life.

If your little one has developed a food allergy we’ll help you protect them from a reaction. When they are old enough we can begin Oral Immunotherapy (OIT). OIT is a treatment that helps people with food allergies live reaction free. You can learn more about this option here.

What is Early Introduction to peanuts?

Early Introduction to Peanuts
The idea that highly allergenic foods should be introduced into the diet early to prevent risk of allergy.

Yes, it was previously thought that waiting to introduce allergenic foods would decrease food allergy. However, food allergy actually increased.
